Stamford Hospital/Columbia University College of Physicians and
Surgeons Program
JConnelly@stamhealth.org- We require passage of USMLE
1 and 2 on the first attempt OR 1 year of formal residency training or
medical school rotations (does not include externships, observerships,
research, or fellowships) in the United States for all candidates who
have graduated from non-English language based medical schools before
we can consider someone for a first year residency position. This is in
addition to ECFMG certification.
We have no specific guidelines about medical school graduation date.
We
have sponsored H-1 and J-1 visas, but visa issues are handled on an
individual basis after the formal interview and application process
have taken place.
